Greenhouse Ministries
Serving the Underserved in Rutherford County
As Rutherford County’s population expands, so does the number of homeless men, women, and children. Since 1999, Greenhouse Ministries has served the underserved and offered hope to the hurting in Rutherford County. With a mission to transform lives through encouragement, meeting physical needs, and offering education opportunities, Greenhouse Ministries is planting hope in the ‘Boro – one person at a time.

Greenhouse Ministries is a non-profit, interdenominational helps 501(c)(3) organization. By enlisting volunteers from all over the community, Greenhouse Ministries is able to provide a place for people in need to receive, and then give back as they discover their skills. Greenhouse Ministries meets physical needs by providing food, furniture and clothing while helping to change lives by offering adult education through GED tutoring, literacy training, computer skills training, and more. Most importantly, Greenhouse Ministries offers relationships, spending time with each person, offering a personal touch, and a genuine interest in the lives of every individual who walks through the door.

In 2007 Greenhouse Ministries served over 11,000 people with free services and mentoring, offering hope to each life and family through prayer and support. Greenhouse Ministries also partners with other various organizations to help create a stronger community – one where citizens are empowered to help each other.

Greenhouse Ministries is always in need of volunteers!
