Holly Sims - Sims Realtors, Auctioneers Rutherford County’s Leading Lady of Real Estate |

Executive Vice President of the Middle Tennessee Association of Realtors® Candy Roberts says, “Holly Sims lights up a room . . . everybody wants to be in her presence. She is a powerful influence on all, and clients love her because she cares.” With the encouragement of Holly’s father, Larry Sims, one of Rutherford County’s most successful brokers, Holly joined Sims Realtors®, Auctioneers over eight years ago. Holly admits that her dad saw something that she could not at the time, but as she moved from secretary to agent to part-owner in 2001, Holly began to see that she possessed what author John C. Maxwell calls “the true measure of leadership” – influence. Holly will be the President of the Middle Tennessee Association of Realtors® in 2008 and Vice Chair for the 2008 National Association of Realtors® Marketing Forum. While much of her success can be credited to her keen insight, marketing prowess and dedication, it also due to her passion for serving others, love of community, and a willingness to continually learn and improve. She says, “A true leader is a servant leader; it’s about helping others.” Holly is a lifelong resident of Rutherford County, volunteering for organizations such as Destination Rutherford, the Murfreesboro Cable Commission and is a graduate of Leadership Rutherford. While volunteering as a youth leadership coordinator, Holly met Chris Sterling, a local student participating in the program. Holly recounts that Chris, “Was quiet at first but eventually emerged from his ‘shell’ becoming a leader in the class.” Years later, Holly ran into Chris’ mother, Terri Sterling, who says, “Holly remembered Chris specifically and commented on how impressed she was with him. When I told her of his involvement with Habitat for Humanity’s Bike Challenge, Holly immediately jumped on board and not only personally sponsored Chris, but gathered support from the Middle Tennessee Association of Realtors® as well. The Amazing thing is that she had not seen Chris often but believed in him enough to contribute to his life’s dream.” Holly is highly motivated to help clients achieve their goals and dreams by investing time and listening intently to create a customized plan for each family or business she works with.
