Bell Jewelers
Nothing Sparkles Like a Bell Jewelers Diamond!
|
Since 1879, Bell Jewelers has not only operated as the area’s oldest known continuing retail business, it has continued to shine as one of Middle Tennessee’s most dazzling jewelry stores. Known for their high caliber collection of fine jewelry and gifts, Bell Jewelers is a member of the Independent Jewelers Organization and the American Gem Society and features a highly-trained and knowledgeable staff including an on-site, award-winning master jeweler and goldsmith, two on-site certified watch technicians, and two certified Gemologists.
William R. Bell first opened Bell Jewelers in downtown Murfreesboro in 1879 as a combination jewelry and optical store. Today it is located on Broad Street and is locally owned and operated by brother and sister, Greg Tidwell and Lisa Tidwell Halliburton.
Lisa says, “We pride ourselves in selling heirloom-quality jewelry, watches and gifts for life’s special occasions. The niche we have to offer as a family owned business is complete trust, integrity, dependability and professional expertise unique to most jewelry business today.”
Voted as Murfreesboro’s best jewelry store for over 10 years, Bell Jewelers is proud to represent Rolex, TAG Heuer, CYMA, Seiko and their own Bell Jewelers signature watches. Their diamond jewelry lines feature designers such as Spark, Raymond Hak, Martin Flyer, Gottlieb & Sons, Tacori, True Romance, Frederick Goldman, Hidalgo, Galatea, Pandora and many others. They also carry gift lines including Waterford Crystal, Peggy Karr glass, Reed & Barton Silver, Arthur Court, Wolf Designs and more.
Bell Jewelers is also proud to offer onsite jewelry repair and custom design by master jeweler and goldsmith Bob Lanier. Trained by the jewelry industry's top Goldsmith school, the Texas Institute of Jewelry Technology, Bob can remount or custom design jewelry pieces from customer’s designs or can create a one-of-a-kind piece of art. Bell Jewelers also has two watch service technicians in house that service Rolex, as well as TAG Heuer and most other brands of watches. “We don’t have to send hardly anything out. All work is done on our premises, which is very important to our customers,” says Lisa.
Certified Gemologists, Lisa and Greg are available for all types of appraisals and offer wise counsel and education when it comes to understanding your fine jewelry pieces.
As members of two jewelry buying groups, Bell Jewelers can offer customers competitive pricing and the ability to pass on significant savings while maintaining the highest quality products.
Perhaps what sets Bell Jewelers apart the most though is their incredible, time-honored customer service. Lisa says, “We treat each person who walks through the door as if they will be our only customer for the day. We try our best to exceed our customer’s expectations. Above all, honesty and integrity are the most important components of our business.”
While a lot has changed in Murfreesboro over the years, Bell Jewelers remains as a pillar of Rutherford County’s retail business community. “It serves as a warm welcome to visitors, and they can identify with Bell Jewelers’ long history. It’s like coming home,” says Lisa.
As Murfreesboro has been a blessing to both Bell Jewelers and the Tidwell family, they make it their priority to give back to the community through donations and personal time spent for various causes such as the Boys and Girls Club of Rutherford County, the Murfreesboro Charity Circle, and the United Way.
