Change for Jesus Ministries
In 2004, the life of then international development leader B Austell changed a great deal. On a trip to India, B was abducted from the airport and held at gun point. “I honestly didn’t think I was going to make it out alive,” says B. “I began to pray Psalm 91.” A cow then crossed the path of the van they were in. “The driver slammed on his brakes sending the 3500 rupees in my purse flying forward.” The driver saw the money and agreed to let B go for a portion of it. “I realized then that I had not been living my life reaching out to others, and I told God I would do what He wanted - to let people know that He loved them.”

In 2006 B and husband, Steve, both ordained ministers, began to pursue the dream of reaching out to others through Change for Jesus Ministries. CFJM is a teaching and coaching ministry whose mission is based on 2 Cor. 5:18-19, to help others be reconciled to God and discover the tools needed to live a successful Christian life. Steve and B offer teaching and coaching for weddings, premarital, relationship, health and wellness, financial, basic life-skills, and more.

Steve says, “It’s about changing one life at a time.” CFJM is a non-profit organization partnering with organizations such as the Tennessee Youth Connection and the Salvation Army.
