Need a vacation but can’t get out of town? Drop on in to the Coconut Bay Café where the people work hard and play harder! With its beach-themed décor, party-like atmosphere, friendly service, and great food, you can’t help but “get away from it all,” if only for an hour!
“I love watching frowns turn into smiles . . . making someone’s day. We strive to create a fun atmosphere,” says owner Amanda Gallagher. Coconut Bay Café is a family-owned and operated business whose vacation-like atmosphere provides the community with a great place to kick back with friends or enjoy a fun family meal. Their menu features a variety of innovative dishes that include chicken, steaks, pastas, and seafood specialties, as well as a great kids’ menu.
“There is always something going on at the bay!” says Amanda. The Coconut Bay Café constantly adds new events and specials that appeal to all crowds including karaoke nights on Thursdays, Texas Hold Em’, the NFL ticket with over 52 large-screen TVs, .25cent wings on Wednesdays, live music, balloons and magic tricks every Friday and Saturday night 6-9pm for kids, and monthly “bike-nights” during the summer.
Every year they continue to work with various charities such as their annual Hawaiian Tropics Bikini Contest to benefit the American Cancer Society, having raised $25,000 to date. Amanda says, “We always give back to those who got us where we are today.”
At the Coconut Bay Café their aim is to “enrich the lives of our guests . . . through superior quality food and beverages, legendary customer service, and by treating everyone like family.” Coconut Bay believes that their most important resource are their customers and staff, saying, “Our success depends upon delivering an exceptional experience to every customer, every time.”
In March of 1999 they opened their doors as a Buffalo’s Café franchise, which they operated for two years. In February of 2001 owner Amanda Gallagher decided that Murfreesboro needed something more unique, and Coconut Bay Café was born! “It hasn’t been an easy journey, but we’ve made Coconut Bay Café a huge success!” says Amanda. Coconut Bay is proud member of the Murfreesboro Chamber of Commerce and is thankful to serve such a supportive community. “Our loyal customers have made us successful; we couldn’t have done it without them!”
